Greetings:
To all chapter brothers, family and friends,
I greet you as the Basileus of Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter, Cleveland, Ohio. Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter is a young chapter that was chartered in the summer of 1995. Our chapter is dedicated to its cardinal principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance and uplift. The brothers of Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter are tied closely by their friendship of each other reinforced by social and professional respect. We strive to actively set a positive image and portray to young people an upstanding male role model figure. Our chapter brothers have pledged to uphold all that for which we stand with the motto that, “Friendship is essential to the soul.”
Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter is a service organization with the underlying obligation to help people in our community. Our service programs are designed to assist our youth and others through direct interaction with those in our neighborhoods. The chapter plans on resurrecting our scholarship program to provide scholastic assistance to qualified and deserving students seeking higher education. Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter is committed to aiding these students in their pursuits for excellence and education. We are determined to increase the financial backing in the years to come.
So far this year, we have been very busy, beginning with our participation in the Diabetes Walk in Cleveland, Ohio, in October 2008. On November 3, 2008, we partnered with the Cleveland Branch of the NAACP to participate in their “Get out the vote Campaign” for the general election. We plan on having a youth Talent Hunt Program and a Golf Outing in the future months to come to support our commitment to excellence in our community.
Our signature project is our service to the City Mission in Cleveland, Ohio, where we mentor and provide guidance to about 40 to 50 inner city youth every Wednesday during the school year. It is a fabulous program and we take pride in the fact that we are making a difference in the lives of those students.
Our chapter goals are to:
1. Increase our chapter membership to 30 financial brothers
2. Increase our scholarship programs to award (3) $ 1,000.00 scholarships each
year
3. Conduct mentoring/grooming objectives for the future leaders of the Chapter
4. Long Term - Conduct a search for chapter housing and financing
In closing, I thank the brothers of Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter for their vote of confidence in electing me as your Basileus from 2008 through 2010.
Respectfully submitted,
Bro. William Comeaux – Basileus Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter
